The spectacular mate of this
female tufted coquette gave
the bird-watchers a big thrill.
I heard reports on his
movements at nearly every
meal. She is shown at her
actual size to the left.

This chestnut
woodpecker
was
spectacularly
coloured and
almost
chicken-sized.
