Wisdom indigenous to North America, the "milkweed patch" where I live, tells us that even the smallest plant or animal can be our teacher. Milkweed Patch is an environmental art installation that tells the story of my own teacher, the monarch butterfly. It is also a story about us, as we go through our personal and societal changes. It's a tale about the natural process of growth and transformation, and of the pain and risk that accompany our moments of greatest opportunity and deepest vulnerability. Take a journey with me... |
