That's what Miss Vee's husband "Brown
Boy" Pacheco said to me, gazing at this view he'd known all
his life. This is the view I awoke to, and that I raised my
eyes from while carving. It's hard now to live without that
mountain.
Mr. Pacheco is a dedicated and
intelligent farmer who raised four teachers. He made sure
that his children could appreciate their home, yet know the
world outside as well. Carving with this view in front of me
day after day, I decided to name the artwork in honour of
him.
