Detail: Return |
||
As spring nears and the days get longer our Canadian migrant awakens. But by now she is ancient in butterfly years. She lays her eggs and dies after barely beginning the return flight. Two generations of travellers will be born before a descendant again touches ground in the northern lands. Once, billions of butterflies gradually journeyed home through a continent-long cocktail bar of spring flowers. |
